Strictly Come Dancing 2015: Peter Andre booted off after losing dance-off against Kellie Bright

Peter Andre has been booted off of Strictly Come Dancing after losing a dance-off to Kellie Bright.

The singer – who was an early favourite to win the show when the series kicked off – was the tenth person to lose his place following his American Smooth to Sweetest Feeling with Janette Manrara.

Andre found himself at the bottom of the leader board after failing to impress the judges with his dance and his performance in the quickstep-a-thon which saw him awarded just one point after finishing last.

But despite his best efforts, the judges voted to save Bright and her partner Kevin Clifton who danced the salsa to I Want You Back by the Jackson 5.

Speaking about his time on the show, Andre said: "It's been nothing but joy and we've come so far. Like I said before there's no shame in leaving. I love everybody."

Manrara said of her partner: "I definitely made a friend for life. We got on straight away. He worked so hard in rehearsals. I love you and I'm so glad to have you as a part of my life."
