I'm A Celebrity 2015: Jamie Laing says Spencer Matthews is doing 'great' and praises star for being 'honest'

Jamie Laing has revealed his friend, and Made in Chelsea co-star, Spencer Matthews is doing “great” following his early exit from I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here.

Matthews, 28, was forced to leave the ITV show after admitting to using steroids before heading in to the jungle camp.

"Spenny is great,” Laing told the Daily Mirror. “I can't comment [on whether he is in rehab] but what I will say is that he is my best friend and he has my full support. People make mistakes and he's made a big one.”

Laing – who was rumoured to replace Matthews after he left – praised his friend for opening up about his steroid use.

He said: "But to come out and be so honest about everything the way he has is so bold. It is very easy to hide away from things like this but he came clean. Sadly, that decision got him kicked out of the jungle.

"It's very unfortunate because he was doing so well. But as I said, people do make mistakes. He made a decision and he's not happy with it. But he is surrounded by friends and family."
