Wise out to have last laugh

Dennis Wise says his Millwall players need to start enjoying their football again.

They have not won in their past seven league games and the mood among the squad has become gloomy.

Hopes of making the play-offs have faded since victory against Sunderland in the FA Cup semi-finals at the beginning of the month.Millwall must now rely on teams above them failing spectacularly in their final two games of the season to have any chance.

But with the Cup Final against Manchester United just three weeks away, player-manager Wise wants his team to start performing with smiles on their faces.

Ahead of their penultimate league game at Derby tomorrow, he said: "The confidence has gone a little bit knowing that we have not got the results since the semifinal. We need others to mess up quite badly to have a chance of getting into the play-offs and it is only a small glimmer of hope.

"But we need to get results in our last two games because we need to build our confidence again.

"We also need to start enjoying our football whether it is vital for the play-offs or not."

Millwall have no new injury problems for tomorrow's game, but key midfielder Tim Cahill and striker Danny Dichio are both suspended.
