Williams' shoulder injury won't threaten his career

Danny Williams has been told the shoulder injury he sustained in his failed world heavyweight title challenge is not career-threatening and he is now planning a comeback.

Williams feared for his boxing future after hurting the shoulder during a brutal defeat by Ukrainian Vitali Klitschko in Las Vegas last month.

But after seeing a specialist he said: "It should heal itself over the next four to six weeks. I'd like to be back in March. I've had a nice little break and now I'd like to get back to training."

Meanwhile, formal confirmation is expected later today that Battersea's Howard Eastman has secured a world middleweight title fight against undisputed champion Bernard Hopkins.

Eastman's challenge is set to take place in Los Angeles on 19 February.
