Although most pundits believe Wilkinson has had a poor World Cup in open play, he still kicked 23 points to win the quarter-final against Wales.
"All I try to do is keep to the standards I set myself. I know that I missed a couple of kicks against Samoa and hit the post with my first attempt against Wales, but I just shut those kicks out as soon as I threw the kicking tee away," he said.
"While I have not necessarily enjoyed the way we have performed in the matches, I am very proud of they way we have fought through for the wins."
