Bayern's English midfielder Owen Hargreaves highlighted Arsenal's goalkeeping problems when he said: "They are not as good in defence as in attack.
"They obviously have a problem as they replace the keeper again and again." And Bayern coach Felix Magathwas playing mind games over the fitness of Germany captain Michael Ballack, who yesterday was ruled out injured by club officials.
Magath insisted their key man was still in contention for a place in Bayern's line-up.
He said: "The player did running exercises this morning, he's still being treated and we will decide before the match whether he can play."
The only selection question for Wenger now centres around Ashley Cole. The left-back was confined to bed for most of last week because of a severe bout of flu.
He trained on Sunday and Monday and, although he still felt below par, he opted to travel with the squad.
The defender will have a late fitness test this afternoon.
Wenger has already told 19-year-old French under-21 international Gael Clichy that he could have a key role to play in Arsenal's first match in the Champions League knockout stage.
