With four points available for a win, all sorts of permutations are possible in the relegation battle - including Quins, even after their win over the Irish, still being in danger. But forget Cup specialists, Quins are actually the Houdinis of the league. Of course, one day it is all going to go horribly wrong. But probably not this season, even though this trip is likely to be a return to the old we're-away-sowemust-be-losing syndrome.

This is a relegation crunch battle and the Irish won't be happy their two most crucial games in the run-in come just five days apart, with a trip to fellow strugglers Bath on Thursday. Ideally, they have to win both these, as Leeds and Leicester follow before Bristol visit in May. Saracens don't have many easy games coming, either. The "squeaky bum" syndrome Sir Alex Ferguson referred to in football seems to have become pandemic.

Wasps won't be thinking in these terms but on Sunday their efforts will have a huge bearing on the other London clubs. If Bath win, tremors will run through the relegation candidates. If Wasps win (as they should, with something in hand), the status pretty much remains quo. It's the first season when the team finishing first may not get the trophy (a ridiculous situation), but Wasps won't mind if they can parlay third place into silverware in the play-offs.

A good win for the Welsh against Otley, and according to their league positions, this should be a comparatively relaxing day at home. Manchester did see off Birmingham last week and will be feeling all boyish as a result. Although this won't be a stroll, the Exiles should come out on top.
