Thierry Henry is willing to chase and harry with the best of them if that is what it takes to bring the title back to Highbury.

“Sometimes, it is not only down to the quality. You have to show the commitment and the desire,” said the French striker, who scored his third Premiership goal in as many games to round off the 2-0 win over Aston Villa.

“That is what we showed. The goals we scored against Villa are not the usual ones we score. But who cares how they go in and how we played?

“Some people said that we let in too many goals last season and maybe it is up to us up front to help the team. That is what we are trying to do. Full credit to Dennis Bergkamp on my goal. He didn’t give up.

“The game was finished and he still put his foot in with Olof Mellberg and that allowed me to score. That is the spirit we have at the moment. But we need to carry on. We can’t just do it for three games and think that is enough.

“When we are in the mood, we can play against any team in the world but sometimes you need to win the game when it is not your day, when you can’t score like you always score. Then you need to find another way to win.”
