Vieira knows the squad are packed with goalscoring potential from so many areas that Arsenal should be able to exert pressure on the most stubborn of defences.
While he in tandem with either Gilberto Silva or the emerging young talent of Francesc Fabregas hold central midfield and Kolo Toure and Pascal Cygan keep the central defence watertight, the adventure and creativity in the rest of the team should be enough to overcome any resistance.
"We have Jose Antonio Reyes, Robert Pires, Dennis Bergkamp, Thierry Henry and Freddie Ljungberg - there are so many players going forward who can score at any time," said Vieira.
"We feel we will score during the 90 minutes. We just keep working with the two central midfield players and the back four and we know we will score. Up front is our strength. At Fulham we didn't play our best football but we kept working really hard. We showed some maturity. Even when Fulham put us under pressure, we carried on working hard.
"We kept calm and continued to pass the ball and play our game. As for the game against PSV, we know how important it is. With the first game at home, we need to start well. But with the way we are playing, we are confident going into the game."
But while Vieira waxed lyrical about the potency of Arsenal's front men, manager Wenger stressed to need for defensive discipline.
"We want to start the competition by being sound at the back," he said. "Yes, I believe the confidence is there. If it is not there now, it never will be. The momentum is there, the spirit is there."
