Turner rules out fear factor for Brentford

Michael Turner believes Brentford have nothing to fear against Sheffield Wednesday in tonight's League One play-off semi-final.

Paul Sturrock's side lead 1-0 after the first leg and, given a formidable away record and a fanatical travelling support, they are warm favourites to reach Cardiff.

But centre-half Turner said: "There is not really anything to be frightened of. We have played them three times already this season and competed without really playing well in any of the games. So we are due a good performance and hopefully that will come tonight.

"The result at Hillsborough was not what we wanted but it could have been worse and we're still in the tie.

"We're a young team and Hillsborough was the first time a lot of us have played in front of a crowd like that. Maybe we were intimidated a little in the first half, but in the second half we came back into it.

"The Wednesday fans were brilliant for them last week and, hopefully, the Brentford fans can create a similar atmosphere for us."
