Toshack's fears over Ramsey

Wales manager John Toshack has warned teenage star Aaron Ramsey to be wary of a big-money move to a Premier League club.

The 17-year-old Cardiff midfielder, who appeared in the FA Cup Final, has been strongly linked with Manchester United.

It is believed talks took place in Moscow last week ahead of the Champions League Final, with the prospect of a season-long loan back to Cardiff for the youngster.

Toshack, though, admitted to concerns about young players moving to the Premier League and then finding themselves missing regular football. The manager said: "A lot of people are making a lot of fuss about Aaron. But he is still very young and has not started too many games at Cardiff, he is not in their first-choice line-up.

"We have had examples in our squad of young lads who have got into our side and set new records as Wales internationals and then got themselves big-money moves to Premier League clubs.

"The likes of David Cotterill, Lewin Nyatanga, Gareth Bale and Chris Gunter have all gone into Premier League clubs very young.
