Title race back on agenda for troubled Fallon

Kieren Fallon plans to use the most dramatic week of his increasingly turbulent career as a springboard to his seventh jockeys' championship.

The controversial Irishman, who spent 14 hours in police custody being questioned over allegations of race fixing on Wednesday, drew a blank on his return at Salisbury yesterday but will be back for a clutch of fancied rides at Kempton this afternoon.

Fallon has spoken of how the police "treated me like a terrorist" during his day at Bury St Edmunds Police Station.

"I spent most of the day in a cell and it was pretty unpleasant. They made sure I felt like a criminal," he said.

Fallon's solicitor Christopher Stewart-Moore is well used to putting out fires on behalf of his client and remains confident that the latest episode in the Irishman's astonishing career will see him cleared.

Stewart-Moore told today's Times of his "jaundiced view of the Jockey Club and the motivation behind all this."
