"I have trained for the last two or three days and am fit and raring to go now," he said.
"It's my first experience of tournament football so I'm just looking forward to it. I'm just hoping to play a part in the game." Terry admitted it had been difficult to watch England's Euro 2004 opener from the sidelines.
He said: "To pick up a little injury before probably my biggest game ever was very frustrating and disappointing.
"I went more or less the whole season without getting any injuries and I was fully fit and looking forward to coming over and being a part of the team.
"We were very cautious, but I'm thankful for that.
"If I'd played I might have pulled it and I would have been out for four or five weeks and my tournament would have been over. I just wasn't ready. It was such a shame not to be part of it," he added.
It will be a surprise if Eriksson does not opt for Terry, who has eight caps, ahead of six-cap King.
