"He's come out of his last race at Cheltenham in great form, he's on really good terms with himself and everything has gone well," O'Neill added. "It would be lovely to give AP a Welsh National - it would certainly keep a smile on his face."
Officials at Chepstow are keeping their fingers crossed that forecasts predicting snow before tomorrow's feature race will prove inaccurate.

Meanwhile, Noel Fehily says he has "absolutely no chance" of making the Cheltenham Festival in March after having his wrist examined by a specialist yesterday.
The jockey, who dislocated his wrist in November, said: "The specialist told me I would be out for a minimum of three to four months."
