Stewart: I don't want Surrey job

Alec Stewart has discounted his chances of becoming Surrey's head coach after the resignation of Keith Medlycott.

Since his retirement, Stewart has been doing promotional work at The Oval on a part-time basis.

But he said: "I am not interested in the job. You never say no to going into coaching eventually, but I don't think it is a good idea to give up playing and then go straight into coaching. I don't know who they will choose, but I don't think they will rush into it."
