Malik's name was the subject of a News of the World sting when he allegedly offered to fix England's tour of Pakistan.
Recent judicial inquiry in Pakistan recommended Malik get life ban. Other Pakistani players mentioned, including former captain Wasim Akram, who was "not above suspicion".
Former England player Chris Lewis said last year he was asked to bribe Alec Stewart and Alan Mullally to play badly. Lewis also claimed being told that three "household" names had already taken bribes. After a Scotland Yard inquiry no evidence of wrong-doing by players was discovered.
Former India captains Kapil Dev and Mohammed Azharuddin are the highest profile players to have repeatedly come under suspicion.
