"If he doesn't run there, we'll have a look at the Peterborough Chase a week on Thursday."
There are a total of 12 entries for the Tingle Creek, headed by Skybet's 11-8 favourite Big Zeb, who will be out to enhance his Queen Mother Champion Chase claims in the absence of injured Master Minded.
Despite giving Crack Away Jack a surprise entry, Emma Lavelle is likely to run the exciting novice in the preceding Grade 2 Henry VIII Novices' Chase over the same distance.
A close-up fourth in the Champion Hurdle last season, he was a facile winner at Sandown on his chasing debut last month and is now vying for Arkle Trophy favouritism with top Irish chaser Sizing Europe.
Lavelle feels the five-year-old learned plenty from that display and said: "It was important for him to get his confidence and some experience round the track. He's come out of it in great form and will run at Sandown.
"Young horses need to feel that they are the best and he got to jump those trappy fences - and if he can jump there, he should be able to handle any course.
"What pleased me most was that he settled so well - almost too well - because he could get a bit racey before that. He has learned to relax."
Unlike his trainer, who added: "I'm fine with the build-up to races, but my stomach is doing double flips during the races, whether it is a big race at Cheltenham or a two-mile novice hurdle."
