Sodje is linked to Upton Park

Brentford defender Sam Sodje could be on his way to the Premier League with West Ham.

The £1million-rated centre-half says Alan Pardew's side and Blackburn have both been in contact about a possible transfer.

Sodje, 26, who was Brentford's player of the year last season, said: "Blackburn have been the most significant offer so far. West Ham's interest depended on their play-off game."

Martin Allen signed Sodje from non-league Margate last summer and he made 42 league appearances in an impressive first season.
