Six of the best for dazzling Leeds

Mark Viduka began the rout in the 14th minute with a superb diving header. Stand-in goalkeeper Aidan Davison had no chance, but his troubles were just beginning.

Five minutes later, McCall was penalised by referee Andy D'Urso for hacking at Viduka's legs and from the free kick just outside the penalty area, left back Ian Harte produced one of his specials to pick up his 10th goal of the season. Striker Ashley Ward, a target for his old club Derby, gave Bradford some hope after 22 minutes when he accepted a pass from hardworking Eoin Jess to drive a low shot past Nigel Martyn.

But Leeds had the taste for goals and five minutes later Alan Smith's astute pass sent Eirik Bakke haring into Bradford's area to stroke a third past Davison.

Smith himself scored the fourth - his 16th of the season - after 38 minutes, hooking in Viduka's headed knock- down. But Leeds saved the best until just before the half-time whistle.

There was no build-up as such, just a big boot upfield from Martyn, but Harry Kewell brought it under control with his left thigh, juggled the ball for a few seconds and then stepped effortlessly inside the mesmerised Ian Nolan before scoring almost nonchalantly with the out-side of his left foot.

It was vintage Kewell and only his second goal of a campaign wrecked by Achilles surgery last autumn. It also seemed to be the last straw for City's harassed defence.

As they prepared to defend a throw-in deep in first-half injury time, Myers caught McCall with a punch before Halle quickly stepped in to part his team-mates. Tempers had cooled by the restart as the warring pair walked out together, McCall seemingly sporting the start of a black eye, and Bradford seemed to have weathered the worst of the storm.

Leeds did not increase their lead until the 84th minute when Lee Bowyer converted another Harte cross.
