Scott gets six minutes and Jose's backing

Chelsea want unsettled midfielder Scott Parker to stay at the club despite suggestions that he will return to Charlton on loan in January.

Parker got a rousing reception from the home fans when he was introduced as an 84th minute substitute for Alexi Smertin against CSKA Moscow last night.

But the player - who joined Claudio Ranieri's side in the January transfer window n a £10million deal - has found his chances at Stamford Bridge limited under new manager Jose Mourinho.

Parker, 24, is concerned that his England ambitions are being hampered by the lack of football and could seek a loan move away from Chelsea.

Mourinho, though, will consider playing him in Saturday's home game against Blackburn Rovers and said: "For Scott to go somewhere, anywhere, I'm not interested and neither are the club. He will be here."

Meanwhile, Moscow coach Valeri Gazzaev still believes his side can reach the next stage despite last night's defeat.
