Saints eye Euell

Jason Euell has been targeted by Southampton for a possible loan deal.

The Charlton forward, who is frustrated about a lack of first-team opportunities, could join Harry Redknapp's Saints until the end of the season.

Euell's agent, Tony Finnigan, said: "Jason has not been told he is excess to requirements but is not happy to sit back and collect his money. He wants to play football."

Charlton signed Euell for a club record £4.75million from Wimbledon in 2001.
