Safety not an issue for confident Warner

Millwall keeper Tony Warner today claimed his team are already well on their way to becoming an established First Division force in their first season back.

Only eight League games into the season after winning promotion last campaign Warner feels he has seen enough to know Mark McGhee?s side will not get caught up in a relegation battle.

They play Wimbledon at Selhurst Park tonight and Warner said: ?We fancy our chances there after winning our last two games. Everybody is buzzing.

?We have already beaten Crystal Palace 3-1 at that ground this season and we are looking forward to going back. Hopefully, it will be a happy hunting ground for us.

?I think we have adjusted to the First Division quite quickly but there have been a few games where we have been desperately unlucky. It is all a bit faster, the players are stronger and everything they do is a bit more accurate than in Division Two. We have had to learn that you get punished more for your mistakes.

?But we have a team of fit, honest lads who put everything on the line for Millwall and I don?t think this division holds too many problems for us. I don?t think we will get involved in a relegation struggle or anything like that.?
