Despite doubts over Wilkinson, Johnson is cautiously optimistic he will have a full-strength squad to choose from.
"All of the injured are in various terms of return," he said. "If it were black or white it would be far easier as we would know exactly what they could do or when they could train.
"But they're all here so we're expecting them to all be available for selection on Monday."
Lewis Moody has been given the all-clear to play against the All Blacks but will line up for Bath against Harlequins at the Twickenham Stoop on Sunday to receive some much needed game time after almost a month out of the game with an eye injury.
Despite being the incumbent captain Moody has yet to be handed the skipper's armband for the four-Test Investec International series, with Johnson preferring to hold off until he announces the squad.
When Johnson last played New Zealand at Twickenham in 2002 he had been captain for nearly three years but he insists there is no issue with not having a defined skipper just 10 days before they take on the All Blacks.
"Lewis needs to play in a game," said Johnson. "He's been out for three weeks and he just needs to go out and get some game time. It doesn't paint us into any corners. We can select him or we can not select him and put him on the bench.
"As long as he's fit and ready to play that's all we care about. Him playing some rugby on Sunday is about getting fit. We have a leadership group. The guys are out there working with Mike [Ford] and Brian [Smith] and the players are happy with how it's going at the moment. We need Lewis to get through and then we'll go from there."
