You have to go back to 2001 and Sakhee for the last time a Godolphin-trained horse was rated No1 in the world rankings while Shamardal (125) in 2005; Doyen (127) in 2004 and Moon Ballad (126) in 2003 were also considerably higher in the ratings than Cocoa Beach, and were also campaigned this side of the Atlantic.
