Ranieri: Defensive Wolves will be testing

Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri is expecting a difficult game from a defensively-minded Wolves tomorrow.

Dave Jones's side are bottom of the Premiership with just one point from five games, but Ranieri is taking nothing for granted.

The Italian is expected to make sweeping changes to the team that beat Sparta Prague in the Champions League on Tuesday. Geremi is suspended following his sending-off against Leicester and Adrian Mutu is doubtful with an ankle injury, but John Terry, Frank Lampard, Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink and Eidur Gudjohnsen could return to the starting line-up. Joe Cole is also likely to feature at some stage as Chelsea attempt to break down a dogged home side.

Wolves have only scored one goal all season, in a 5-1 defeat at Blackburn, and Raneiri believes they will continue to adopt a defensive approach.

He said: "These are the matches with more difficulties and if we don't understand this we cannot improve. We must increase our mentality, our focus and our motivation.

"It will be a very compact game. Because they have drawn only once against Portsmouth they want to get a result. I think they'll play in a very tight position, very deep and to go on the counterattack.
