Ranieri all blue over Chelsea's lost form

Claudio Ranieri today admitted that he feels as if everything is going against Chelsea at the moment.

Chelsea have lost their last two games and are desperate to bounce back at Fulham tomorrow.

With Manchester United and Arsenal showing no signs of faltering Ranieri knows his side cannot afford to drop more points if they are to stay in the Championship race.

He told Chelsea TV: "In this period everything is going wrong for us. It's strange for us but there are always good periods and bad periods and now things are very bad. It's important to stay together, work hard and sooner or later we'll change the wind."

Chelsea's main problem has been a lack of goals, with just eight being scored in the last eight games following the 5-0 demolition of Newcastle, and Ranieri acknowledged that they are struggling to break teams down.

He said: "Until two weeks ago everything was fantastic and good. Everything we did was right but now when we want to pass through the midfield, through the defender, we're finding it very difficult. All teams have some bad moments and it's important we finish this period very soon.

"It's a bad moment but we're strong inside and feel good. It's very important that we recover for the derby with Fulham."

Ranieri has more problems ahead of tomorrow's game as his striker crisis has worsened.

Eidur Gudjohnsen is still out with an ankle injury and Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is suspended after collecting five bookings so the coach may be tempted to take a risk with Adrian Mutu's tight hamstring.

Hernan Crespo will definitely start up front and the Argentinian striker today revealed how much he was enjoying life in the Premiership.

He said: "In Italy football is surrounded by stress and pressure which makes life more difficult, but in England it's easier.

"People go to the stadium for a show and the fans think only of that, not money or other things. It's only the football that's important."
