Radlinski could change codes

Kris Radlinski, the Wigan and Great Britain full back, is being courted by rugby union again.

This time, at 29, he is believed to be more receptive to their advances than he was four years ago.

The RFU are understood to be ready to open talks with Wigan and the player, who has 18 months left on his contract with the engage Super League club.

Sale Sharks also rate him highly and he could be offered the chance to link up with his former Warriors team-mate Jason Robinson. If Radlinski does move to union it will be another major setback for a club already ravaged by injuries and the loss of Great Britain captain Andy Farrell to Saracens.

Radlinski, who made his debut for his home-town club 12 years ago, and took over the Wigan captaincy from Farrell this season, is having a belated testimonial year. He is currently sidelined with a hamstring injury that he received in Wigan's home Super League defeat by London last weekend.

The club say he will be out of action for two months and there is already speculation that he may have played his last game in league.
