SportQPR close on deals for Wise and RoyceWayne Vesey|Evening Standard14 April 2012Queens Park Rangers are close to agreeing deals for Dennis Wise and Charlton goalkeeper Simon Royce.The club are in discussions with 38-year-old Wise for a one-year playing contract next season, while Royce is poised to sign a two-year deal.Wise recently left his position as player-manager of Millwall but is keen to carry on playing for as long as possible.Rangers chief executive Mark Devlin said: "Dennis would be a great addition to our squad. Our young players could learn a lot from him."Royce, 33, impressed manager Ian Holloway during a loan spell at Rangers last season. He will sign on 1 July when his contract at Charlton ends.Holloway is likely to continue his search for a back-up keeper to Royce after Generoso Rossi followed Chris Day out of the exit door.
