We will have to see how it responds." Wolves manager Dave Jones, whose side crashed to a humiliating 5-1 Carling Cup defeat to Arsenal's youngsters, has demanded much more of his players ahead of the trip to Tottenham.

Jones said: "The players need to ask themselves why they weren't even giving it a go."

Meanwhile, Tottenham's Jonathan Blondel does not want to accept a proposed loan switch to Burnley. A temporary transfer to Turf Moor is lined-up for the Belgian midfielder when he returns from a knee injury but he said: "If I leave the club, it will be for a Belgian or French Premier League side. If that's impossible, I will stay at Tottenham."
