Booth also suggested that missing
last month’s fight with Manuel Charr has put Haye into a better position and
the fact he has not fought since last year’s bout with Derek Chisora won’t
hamper his chances.
“It’s better for David because he’s fighting a better
fighter,” he said. “Ring rust is a mind frame. David is still athletic and still young.”
Fury had initially said he would
only accept a fight with Haye for an 80/20 financial split in his favour. But Booth poured water over that, saying: “It’s fifty/fifty. It was always fifty/fifty no
one ever asks for 80/20, don’t believe what you read on Twitter."
