"We are discussing match fees with Premier Rugby, who have a pot of money to share out for international duty and image rights with the RFU. Everyone agrees it is vital we come to an agreement and I am confident this will happen. I don't believe the issues were a major distraction before the Irish game and the players have dealt with much bigger problems without letting it affect their form.
"The PRA came late into these negotiations and it's important to sort out a four-year deal so that every player who comes into the England team knows exactly what they will be entitled to during the period. We don't want any more grey areas."
Meanwhile, Worcester are understood to have signed Steve Larkham, Australia's World Cup outside-half, on a £1million three-year deal to signal their arrival as a major force in next season's Zurich Premiership.
The Australian Rugby Union is preparing a new two-year deal for Larkham in a move to fend off Worcester but Standard Sport understands that Larkham, capped 66 times, has already agreed to move.
He joins England Under-21 scrum-half Clive Stuart-Smith, who has left Leeds to link up with the ambitious club.
Worcester are also expected to name England flanker Pat Sanderson in their newly-created squad. Sanderson is set to quit Harlequins this summer.
England prop Trevor Woodman, currently in negotiations with Gloucester, is another big-name player on Worcester's wanted list.
