Nets star Devin Harris can’t wait to come to London

Basketball star Devin Harris has spoken of his excitement about playing in London when New Jersey Nets take on Toronto Raptors next year.

Tickets for the NBA's first competitive league match at the O2 Arena on 4 and 5 March went on sale today and Harris is looking forward to the fixtures where his team will have home' advantage.

"I'm really excited to be playing two regular season games in London next year," he said. "It's something a little bit different and we're always happy to be a part of something new.

"Playing the first game in Europe is an honour and I think it will become a popular trend for the NBA as basketball continues to grow."

This is the Nets' second appearance in the capital after playing in an exhibition match against Miami Heat in 2008, while the Raptors are making their London debut.

"We look forward to the crowd getting behind us," added Harris.
