Watford surprised even themselves with last week's 2-0 win over Preston and need to strike while the iron is hot. Or at least lukewarm. Walsall appointed Paul Bracewell, one of football's forgotten men, as their new first-team coach this week but it is a long time since he worked wonders at Fulham. The Saddlers have not won for seven games and Watford can take advantage.
