The main problem for Myskina is the great friendship she has with Dementieva and she said: "I have known her all my life because we first met when we were six or seven years old.
"We used to share the same coach - Marat Safin's mother - and played team tennis together. We do everything together and I hope we are still going to be good friends. We know each others games so well and it's going to come down to who is mentally stronger."
Dementieva agrees and said: "It's just amazing that we are in the final having played at the same club when we started playing tennis. I suppose we must have played 30 times or more during our tennis careers."
Coping with pressure is the aspect Dementieva has most improved since her first grand slam semi-final at the US Open four years ago.
"2000 was a great year for me," said the Russian, who also won the silver medal at the Sydney Olympics that year.
"But since then I have not been able to handle the pressure. It has taken me four years to come back."
