As captain John Terry signed a new five-year contract, Mourinho said that he hopes to emulate Sir Alex Ferguson and Arsene Wenger by staying at Chelsea for many years to come.
The former Porto coach signed a four-year contract at the club last summer but is already thinking of the future.
He said: "I'm so happy with English football, my players and the people that surround me at the club that I want to be here at Chelsea for many, many years." Terry claimed he wants to stay at Chelsea for the rest of his football life.
The England defender only signed his previous contract 18 months ago but, after being named club captain, has been rewarded with a new deal, thought to be worth around £80,000 a week, that runs to 2009.
After signing the deal yesterday, Terry said: "I want to be here for the rest of my career."
