Mutu in need of 'psychiatric help'

Chelsea striker Adrian Mutu has been advised to seek psychiatric help following a high-speed car chase which saw him banned from driving.

The footballer was accused of being puerile and behaving like a child by Dr Florin Tudose - a leading psychiatrist in Mutu's native Romania.

"He was like a child who demands to have what he wants immediately. He is not mentally sick but he has extremely serious personality and maturity issues," added Dr Tudose.

"He needs a specialist to help him."

The doctor's attack came after scandal-prone Mutu - who has had limited success since his £15.8million move to Chelsea last year - had his licence taken away after a police chase through Bucharest on Sunday.
