Murray's Wimbledon rap

Andrew Murray has launched a scathing attack on Wimbledon only hours after becoming the first Briton to lift the boys' title at the US Open.

The 17-year-old Scot claimed young players get treated far better at Flushing Meadows than they do at Britain's premier tournament.

After beating Ukrainian Sergiy Stakhovsky 6-4, 6-2 in his last major tournament before stepping up to senior level, Murray said: "I don't want to get on the wrong side of anyone but this [the US Open] is the best tournament in the world, there's no doubt about that.

"We get treated unbelievably. We stay in the nicest hotels, we get to eat in the same place as all of the players. At Wimbledon, we get put in the Roehampton Institute and get shoved away at the back of Orangi Park. We don't get to see what the top players are like."
