Moyes set for triple raid on Spurs

Simon Davies'move to Everton could mark the first stage of a triple raid on Tottenham by David Moyes' side.

The Merseysiders have cash available to strengthen their squad for next season's Champions League and are understood to have targeted Robbie Keane and Sean Davis as well as the Wales midfielder.

Davies should complete his £4million switch this week when he heads to Goodison Park to undergo a medical and finalise the terms of a £30,000-a-week contract.

It is understood that the 25-year-old, who was laid low by a virus for much of last season, wanted a fresh challenge and, with fellow right winger Wayne Routledge on the way, Spurs were happy to let him go.

Moyes tried to sign Keane in January but opted for James Beattie instead. The former Southampton forward's £6m move has not worked out so the club are certainly in the market for a top striker.

Despite scoring 21 goals for club and country this season, Keane remains behind Jermain Defoe in the pecking order at White Hart Lane.
