Mourinho's international blues

Jose Mourinho today described international football as his biggest enemy and claimed this week's fixtures will jeopardise Chelsea's chances of establishing a club-record winning run.

Mourinho's side have won a record-equalling eight successive games and are aiming to set a new benchmark against Bolton on Saturday.

Mourinho said: "We lost five points after international weeks, three against Manchester City and two against Aston Villa, so it's perfectly clear. National teams are the biggest enemies we can have. Our performances have suffered the consequences of international week."
