Make no mistake, no one's jealous of wonderkid Danny

My London Wasps team-mate Danny Cipriani is getting lots of attention at the moment because he is just like Jonny Wilkinson but with so much more going on! He is perfect for sponsors and the media to focus on because he is a rugby wonderkid with the world at his feet and is, supposedly, good looking.

There are not many Ciprianis around. The No10 jersey is the glory position in a rugby team and it is never going to be the same for those of us who ply our trade in the second row.

To be honest, I would never want the kind of rugby life that Danny is enjoying, but that's down to the sort of character I am. There are no doubts that there are other players in different positions who would love to be him, but they are never going to achieve it because they are not at No10 and do not have his talents.

All the talk at the moment is about what went on in training this week between Danny and Josh Lewsey. I, honestly, did not see what happened as I had my head down at the time. But I heard a whack and the drill we were working on came to an abrupt end.

The pair of them have now sorted it out and the only way you learn in life is through personal experiences good and bad.

It's very hard to be critical of anything Danny does. At his age, I was at university in Bristol enjoying myself while studying international business studies and Spanish. Remarkably, nobody offered me a multi-million pound contract to wear their boots while I was playing in the west country and I cannot remember any females I was associated with warranting space in the gossip columns either.
