'I am worried by suspensions because we have a very good right back who we are going to lose and you want him playing, not missing games because of stupidity.

'It is going to be a tough month for us and if we can try and stay where we are with some players back we will get somewhere near our target of a Champions League place. I think we are a very good

side but players within it have to show more responsibility.'

Sadly Eriksson was already on his way down the A1 and missed Dyer's late magical pass but he will have noted Mills' second sending-off of the season and Woodgate's discomfort at dealing with Bellamy's pace and Shearer's power.
