Kezman is the answer for Jose

Jose Mourinho insists he is not worried about the goalscoring situation at Chelsea even though he is down to two strikers for tonight's match with CSKA Moscow.

Adrian Mutu's failed cocaine test and Didier Drogba's injury means Mourinho will have to rely on the combined talent of Eidur Gudjohnsen and former PSV hitman Mateja Kezman against their Russian opponents.

They played together for the first time in the defeat against Manchester City on Saturday.

Gudjohnsen has not scored since his winning goal against Manchester United on the opening day of the season while Kezman has yet to open his account for the Blues. But even though Mourinho accepts that, as a team, they are not scoring enough goals, he does not feel unduly worried by facing CSKA with just two fit strikers.

Chelsea will have to puncture a defence that has so far kept two clean sheets in the competition.

Mourinho said: "We are not scoring enough goals and at this moment we are short. But it is a special situation for us. I had four strikers at the beginning of the season - Drogba, Gudjohnsen, Kezman and Mutu - the number was correct.

"But for different reasons we now have just Kezman and Gudjohnsen available. Am I worried about the situation? No.

"Things are improving. It was five weeks for Drogba to come back and today it is four weeks and although he is not a striker, Arjen Robben could be ready to play in Moscow [next month].

"I cannot bring Carlton Cole back from Aston Villa until January. The market is closed. Kezman will score. A good player does not become a bad player. I think he will score against Moscow."

CSKA, who beat Rostov 2-0 on Saturday to go top of their domestic league, have their own injury worries with the absence of Russia right-winger Rolan Gusev and Croatia striker Ivica Olic.

The fact that Chelsea are playing a Moscow side does not worry Mourinho in the slightest, especially after the recent off-the-pitch turmoil with Mutu.

He added: "Mr Abramovich just sponsors the shirts. Players don't think about those things when they go on the pitch. Football is about winning. We want to beat them."

Meanwhile, Mourinho has pencilled in the Premiership match with Everton on 6 November as the likely debut day for Robben.

The highly-rated Dutchman has yet to play a competitive game since his £12million summer move from PSV Eindhoven, having picked up a knee injury in pre-season training.

"I expect Arjen to play for the reserves in two weeks' time," Mourinho said. "After that, I hope he can be back in the first team by the beginning of November because we are not scoring enough goals.

"We are playing well but one goal a game will not win you the title."
