Kelly is hit by travel sickness

Stephen Kelly fears Tottenham's away form is in danger of undermining their bid for a UEFA Cup place.

The right-back opened the scoring at Birmingham on Saturday with his first Premiership goal but Darren Carter's reply ensured the game ended 1-1. The result leaves Martin Jol's ninth-placed side still searching for their first away win in 2005.

Kelly said: "The away form is holding us back. We've played well away from home and created a lot of chances. It has just been difficult for us. We've also been unlucky in a lot of away games, like at Manchester United.

"It is fantastic to get my first goal but it would have been great to get the win as well."

The 71st-minute introduction of Mido provoked a furious reaction from unused substitute Robbie Keane, who stormed off down the tunnel. The Irishman knew he would not be playing any part because Kelly and Sean Davis were already on.

Keane's tantrum did not impress Jol, who said: "It's not about Robbie, it's about the club. We made some good changes and Mido had a great chance. Maybe Robbie was angry but it's not a problem for us, it's his problem. It was difficult enough as it was."
