Gale force winds and driving rain dampened today's workouts, but Johnson saw enough to suggest Inglis Drever will take all the beating in the Pertemps Novices' Hurdle at Warwick. "He's like a Boeing 707 and I think the world of him," he said.
"It looks like Graham Lee will go to Warwick to ride Inglis Drever and Inching Closer.
"We'll try and get Tony Dobbin to ride Royal Rosa in the big staying hurdle at Haydock, but the Champion Hurdle Trial there looks hot and I'll probably save Chivalry for Kelso next week rather than take on Rooster Booster and Specular."
Johnson and Wylie had Jair du Cochet in their sights before Christmas and, despite the gelding's lifeless effort in the King George, their interest remains.
"I know he didn't perform at Kempton, but he still tops the list of horses I'd love to get my hands on," added Johnson. "The first bid fell through, but if he does come back on the market they certainly know where I am."
