Jensen sees good times ahead

Claus Jensen says Fulham will get their season back on track despite Chris Coleman's damning assessment of the club's current position.

The Fulham manager urged his players to take a reality check after a third consecutive league defeat at Aston Villa left them "heading for a relegation dogfight".

But Jensen, who made his first Fulham appearance on Saturday since picking up an injury at the end of August, is convinced that results will improve.

"We will turn it around," said the Denmark international. "We are aware we haven't picked up enough points. Sometimes you hit bad runs, every team do that, and for us now it's about hitting a good run. As long as everyone is giving everything they can, we are confident and positive it will turn around for us."

Jensen has been eager to impress since joining from Charlton in the summer but a calf strain followed by a back problem has forced him to watch much of the campaign from the sidelines.

"That's the start you don't want," said Jensen. "I got an injury that has kept me out for five games, which is disappointing and frustrating, but you have to take the positives. I was pleased to start and got through 70 minutes fine and my body feels good."
