I wouldn’t swap Rumoush, says Tregoning

Aviate may have shaken up the Investec Oaks market with an impressive victory in York's Musidora Stakes yesterday but Marcus Tregoning says he "wouldn't swap Rumoush for anything".

After flying home to touch off Gold Bubbles, Aviate was cut to 4-1 favourite (from 14s) by Coral to give trainer Henry Cecil a ninth win in the Epsom fillies' Classic on 4 June.

The daughter of Dansili replaced Rumoush, who was seventh in a muddling 1000 Guineas, at the head of the Oaks market.

But Tregoning said: "While the Musidora looked a good trial, I wouldn't swap Rumoush for anything. She'll stay the trip and I've no qualms about her handling Epsom. She's in great form and I couldn't be happier."

Having disappointed in the 1000 Guineas, Richard Hannon's Pollenator bids to restore her Classic claims in the Listed 1m 2f Swettenham Stud Fillies' Trial at Newbury tomorrow.

Harry Herbert, spokesman for the Royal Ascot Racing Club who own the filly, hopes she'll book her place in the Prix de Diane. He said: "This is her first time over this trip and she has to give 6lb away to some very good fillies. While I think she's still very smart, we need to find out more."
