Stratton, who Cantillon bought for just £7,400 out of Chris Wall's yard, will be going for glory at the same track on Champion Stakes Day on 20 October. He is then bound for the local Sales and his handler added: "He will have a nice reserve on him because he is better than a handicapper now. Michael Hills, who rode him to his last win, thinks he is Group race class and I believe he can hold his own in Listed events next year. I have a half share in him and am not a rich man, but I would love to carry on training him.
