"I like to sit in the stand to get a good view of the game but I've been on the move quite a lot recently because of our form," he said.
"At Charlton we have never had to call on things like a sports psychologist but maybe we will have to look at that. We seem to have a different attitude when we are away from home."
Holland was not his normally dominant self in only his third game back after fracturing an ankle on the opening day of the season against Bolton.
But he promises Charlton supporters he will now start to fire, starting with Wednesday's Carling Cup tie against Crystal Palace.
"It was always going to take a couple of weeks to get back to where I wanted to be," said Holland.
"I felt quite fit against Newcastle last week but match sharpness only comes with matches. It was the worst injury of my career. The nature of it meant I couldn't train with the ball for a long time."
