Henry's pledge to fans

Thierry Henry today insisted that Arsenal will not become complacent over their amazing form.

The Gunners are undefeated in the Premiership and demolished Leeds 4-1 yesterday in the FA Cup third round at Elland Road.

But the Frenchman is adamant they are taking nothing for granted: "Last season, a lot of people were talking about us winning this and winning that and we only won the FA Cup. Let's keep our feet on the ground, just enjoy it and see what we can do.

"When you play for teams like Arsenal, Manchester United and Chelsea you don't want to lose. If you try not to lose then you have good records. If you keep winning, records are going to come but we are not looking for them."

Arsenal's attention will back on the Premiership on Wednesday when they visit Everton - the ground where they lost their unbeaten league record last season.

Henry added: "It is difficult to cope with the games but at the moment it seems we have the legs to run. After that you can perform. Let's hope we can keep our good health and keep fit. That's the most important thing. Everton played well last season. Maybe we were not that sharp. The way we play we need to be sharp and fresh."

There were reports today that there had been an angry tunnel clash between Leeds striker Alan Smith and Brazilian Edu after the Arsenal midfielder allegedly complained about a bad tackle on Ashley Cole.

But Highbury insiders dismissed suggestions of a major incident and say that Freddie Ljungberg and Smith were the only players who exchanged heated words and that there was no physical contact.
