For the second year running Henry finished in second place in the player of the year poll voted for by international coaches and captains. Last year it was Zinedine Zidane who beat him and this year he was just behind Barcelona's Brazilian midfielder Ronaldinho with AC Milan's Ukrainian striker Andriy Shevchenko in third place.
Although Henry was honoured to receive the award for second place he said he was more focused on winning titles with Arsenal.
"Don't get me wrong, I'm happy to win this award but the main thing is always to win things with your team and I would rather win the Premiership again or the Champions League," he said.
"To be here two years in a row means I have been consistent for a long time and that pleases me. Everyone keeps saying that I have not been in form for the last few weeks, so it is never enough - I look forward to next year to do more."
